Ok, so not strictly upcycling, but kind of! Some superhero pumpkin fun and my first ever attempt at face painting to go with with son’s first ever halloweening night.
My sister was born on Halloween (yes the witches did bring her) so when we were children it was her birthday treat to dress up a little bit – not in the same elaborate style we see nowadays – but dress up nevertheless, and go begging for money! Back in the day it was Penny for Halloween and a carved turnip! Only now do I realise how many blisters my dad must have had hollowing out a turnip!
So my husband should thank himself lucky that pumpkins are nice and easy to carve!
And now we have November… How did that happen?
