If you follow my social media you’ll know that I’ve been working on a project called #PinkCycled lately. Well this is what it’s all about.
During October’s Breast Cancer awareness week my upcycling twin Lynne Lambourne of Love Nellie launched a joint project with the Pink Ribbon Foundation (Reg. Charity No. 1080839) and Preloved to raise awareness and money for breast cancer. A cause very close to her heart as her dad has survived breast cancer twice so she was massively keen to help, read here story here.
The call was put out to creatives and upcyclers to upcycle something with a pink twist, sell on Preloved and all the money raised would go straight to Lynne’s Just Giving page for the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
Using a marbling technique I’d tried before using oil-based paint for a Rust-Oleum project (see it here) I upcycled some old tiles into coasters. These are for sale at £7 for two on Preloved. Buy them here.
These are the other items created by some highly talented people! The links to buy them are included too to make it easy for you join in.
Trong Upcycling Trong made a rather glam version of his Jerry Can bar and created this fabulous Prosecco Bar. Unfortunately for you, this has now SOLD for £100, but I hear he will make them to order if you fancy one for yourself.
Stu-Art Aviation Stu Abbot upcycles aeroplane parts into furniture and accessories, most recently creating a summerhouse from the front end of the plane – sorry Stu, I know this isn’t the technical term! Soon to be seen on Amazing Spaces. Check out this awesome lamp!
